Joint Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine and Ethics
We offer a 3-year, combined fellowship in Ethics and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. Fellows will complete a 9-month Ethics Fellowship at the Charles Warren Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics from September through May of the second year and will participate in ethics consultation activities during the second and third years of their fellowship. Fellows will complete a research project focusing on an ethical issue in pulmonary or critical care medicine, and this project will be expected to be of publishable quality. Fellows may also apply to pursue a concurrent Masters in Clinical Science through the CITE Program, or a Masters degree in Philosophy/Bioethics through IUPUI. Fellows will be jointly mentored by a member of the IU Pulmonary/Critical Care Faculty and a member of the Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics faculty. We seek candidates who are interested in an academic career in pulmonary or critical care medicine with a focus on medical ethics. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
