Project Manager, Nursing Ethics; Department of Clinical & Organizational Ethics

Matthew Fields (he/him) is currently a project manager for the Department of Clinical and Organizational Ethics focusing on the integration of nursing ethics at IU Health. He has been with IU Health since2022 following his completion of the Fairbanks Fellowship in Clinical Ethics. Matthew graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Indianapolis (formerly IUPUI) and is currently a PhD candidate at the Indiana University School of Nursing focused on understanding more about how nurses experience and deal with ethical challenges in their practice. He has both research and teaching experience in nursing ethics, quantitative and qualitative methods, statistics, reproductive health, and applied ethics. Matthew’s primary areas of interest include nursing ethics, reproductive healthcare, and health communication.
